WOW. Who wrote these legal terms. Exploit in any way? They should fire the lawyer.

 

Definitions include: Exploit: to make unethical use of for one's own advantage or profit; turn selfishly or unfairly to one's own account.

I've never seen that, and am very surprised they would do that with email communication. 'Exploit' is probably not what they really meant, but it's what it says! OUCH!

Well at least we no longer submit our brokerage statements via e-mail for tha shareholder OBC. However, I'll no longer submit my DD214 via e-mail for the military benefit. Even though the paperwork was "sanitized" (account #/SSAN obiterated), I'd still feel uncomfortable sending such detailed information with my name attached to it when their disclaimer says they can pretty much do with it as they please... :mad:

Logged into Princess to check my booking, and the page off terms and conditions pops up,

 

which you much accept, well this bit about e mails looked new, do not recall seeing this wording before,

You send them a nice comment or pictures you take on a cruise and they show up in an ad without any compensation coming your way equals exploit. Just their way of saying anything that you send us is ours to use in any way we want.

Respectfully, don't fully agree. Just because it is the public domain, does not give permission to exploit and make unethical use of for one's own advantage or profit. The key word here is unethical. Also, e-mail is not fully in the public domain. It is private communication between parties. This is why e-mails from Princess include disclaimers at the bottom to prevent the receiver from legally using the information for other than it's intended purpose.

Only one submittal of a DD214 should ever be required. Princess is supposed to annotate your account as to your status. Subsequent cruises should have your benefit applied without the need for repeat documentation.

 

Documentation of stock is different as one can easily sell their stock.
