ooooh this could be dangerous... hehehehe

CruisinCanine: What a great thread and rich in pictures too! Thinking about a Sydney to Auckland cruise on the Solstice in Feb '18. Just a terrific resource!

Appreciate so much this funny (and true) comment/warning by jayde43's for having a Tiffany & Co. store on the ship. My view is that taking pictures is much cheaper than buying "things". I am for any 100% off sales. Just do NOT buy anything and you save 100%. Just look' date=' but do not buy!![/b']

Good luck to CruisinCanine in planning your early 2018 Solstice sailing. Don't be shy. Go to my live/blog and I will happy to answer any questions.

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

Enjoyed a 14-day, Jan. 20-Feb. 3, 2014, Sydney to Auckland adventure, getting a big sampling for the wonders of "down under” before and after this cruise. Go to:

Thank you for sharing your wonderful photos and info about Celebrity Solstice.

We're taking our 1st Celebrity cruise on Solstice this month to Alaska. Currently in cabin 1545 (A2) and have an opportunity to upgrade to 1559 or 1598 (A1). I know there's a big overhang and poles over 1159/1598 but am curious yours....or anyone elses.......opinion on changing location.

Excited to try something different....:)

Appreciate these great comments and follow-up. Wish I could answer from experience your good question on making a cabin change. Much is a personal choice. It looks like your current 1545 is fairly close to the elevators. For us, that always a nice plus. Not experienced as to how the overhang might work or if having some of the pool deck space immediately above your cabin would work, sound, etc. Lots of factors involved to consider. Also, don't know the cost difference, if any. Good luck! Let me know any other questions.

Appreciate those who have dropped by this thread. Don't be shy!! If you have any tips, ideas, experiences, updates, etc., to share from being on the Solstice, please post so that others can benefit.

We are now back from our first river boat and Southeast Asia sailing. It was for the Mekong River!! Plus, plus.

Well-pleased with these countries, especially Cambodia, plus the ship, staff, food, tours, etc. On my live/blog, there are dozens of pictures and many details to document these fun adventures and travels. Happy on the live/blog to answer any and all questions, share more info/background, etc.

Now, we shift our focus and attention to mid November, 2018, for our Athens to Dubai, 20-day cruise with Oceania, including our first visits to the Holy Lands, Egypt, Middle East, etc. Many options to consider and logistics to research. Keep hearing great things from other travelers about Oceania, the staff, their food, etc. Right?

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio
