littlemidge Posted March 16, 2013 #76 Share Posted March 16, 2013 Thanks everyone, that is what we were hoping would happen! I just couldn't find anywhere that says that plainly. We've only been on one cruise and that was January this year with P&O, when we booked that we didn't know about RC coming to sail out of Australia. After we booked and paid for that we found RC and then the Hawaii - Australia holiday that we really wanted to do. When we found out about the loyalty program we were a little disappointed that hadn't done our trial cruise with RC because the C&A program sounds great. Very happy to know that this cruise will count, because yes as you say it's a great starting point! Thanks, hope to meet you all on the water one day. rubrrick Posted March 17, 2013 #80 Share Posted March 17, 2013 (edited) I was simply told my number when we hit Pinnacle by someone senior in the Loyalty Dept. It is amazing how many people are now achieving Pinnacle status, it is not life changing, but it is nice. :D And they did send us a really nice welcome pack, with our New Personalised Pins, Passport Cover & Luggage Tags. :) When my DW hit her 100th cruise with Royal Caribbean, it was announced by the Captain and the Loyalty Ambassador that she was the 100th person to achieve this status. Fast forward to a couple of years ago, when Royal Caribbean announced the Pinnacle Club program. At that point, those that had achieved 100 plus cruises, were automatically made Pinnacle Club members, and were given points that equaled 700 or more. There are a few people in the Admin department of C&A that know when everyone hit their Pinnacle Club membership. So if ChipLondon knows their number, it would be correct. I was there to witness when cruisenfever and her husband became member of the Pinnacle Club. At that point, there were under 300 members. scoob2010 Posted March 19, 2013 #88 Share Posted March 19, 2013 I just signed up for their Visa as well on the last cruise and will hopefully get it soon to start using it. We just reached Plat. on this past cruise and while I'll probably never get to D or D+, maybe my legacy to my kids will be a big push for them to D+ since they are just 6 and 4 right now but are already signed up for for points as well.:D

Actually, that's a maximum, since those who have died will not be automatically removed. The numbers, therefore, are those on the books, not those who actively sail. petedacrazycruiser Posted March 19, 2013 #93 Share Posted March 19, 2013 I was just on the LOS and was in the Crown and Anchor event which was on Saturday night I think. Any how, RCCL has over 6 million crown and anchor members. Starting from the top, there are approximately 354 pinnacle members and my wife and I had the pleasure of sitting with a couple of them and sharing a wonderful time with them. From there down, I am a diamond plus member as well as a few other cruisers that I met on the same cruise. Supposedly there are a little over 20,000 Diamond plus members and I don't remember the rest.

Sonny Posted March 19, 2013 #95 Share Posted March 19, 2013 There isn't much more in the way of perks from when you make D+ and when you make Pinnacle. A gold card, a free cruise, luggage tags, and a name pin. I wasn't aware of better bathroom amenities. Wow! That would make it all worth booking all the cruises to make the Pinnacle Status. Seriously, it's not the number of cruises, but the quality. I always hear passengers complain about one thing or another. Such and such ship is better than this one...the food was better on that ship...I have more points than they do. If I find myself complaining, then I better find something else to spend my hard earned money on. I have fun just talking to people, especially new cruisers. I'll make Pinnacle on the Explorer in December and I look at it as starting at the bottom again. What ever number I'm at, I'll be thankful to have it. GalloAJ Posted March 19, 2013 #96 Share Posted March 19, 2013 Making the Pinnacle club is a very impressive achievement considering Diamond Plus is 175 credits while Pinnacle is 700 . Its on my bucket list - hope I make it  However, I would like to see another tier between Diamond Plus & Pinnacle. What do you think? I was just wondering what your affection for this ship is in particular. The wife and I sailed on her back in I believe 2001, she was pretty new back then. I do remember it was a great cruise. I have been thinking about sailing on her again. We don't live too far from Bayonne, NJ (Philadelphia) getting tired of the hassle of flying. Give the Adventure of the seas a try, it sails the Southern Caribbean, which we think has the best itineraries. sailed on the Adventure twice. Both cruises were great. The food and service was some of the best we have encountered on RCCI. You do have to board her in San Juan. It does have a lot of Puerto Rican passengers on her sailings, naturally because it leaves from San Juan, but we found the local folks to be extremely friendly and fun to be with. Good sailing, Joe & Libby, Philadelphia. P.S. Has the Explorer had any yard work done lately, to upgrade and perform maintenance?

It's hit or miss whether they will give the G&S to non-suite PCs. On Jewel, our stateroom attendant in December/January got them for us, but my stateroom attendant in February didn't. She wasn't very motivated to please, though. So, Patti and/or ChipLondon, did you get one or two passport covers?
