Can anyone give me weather info for the Northern European/ St Petersburg cruise in late May? Did you find it too cold while you were touring? Thanks in advance

We went in May. It was hit and miss. Spring there is just like spring here. Some days no coat and sunny, other days cold and rainy. It's the chance you take for getting the cheaper rates at the beginning and end of the season.

When is the best weather? July or August?

We did a Russian river cruise in late August early September and the weather was nice, but I understand the weather can vary.

Our Russian tour guides told us to come to the Hermitage in December when there are no crowds. Sorry, not me.
