Have a wonderful time on the Elation. We get on board the Pride on the 31st of March. Not concerned about problems. Let us know if the Elation got the steering pod fixed. She was one of the latest to have Azipod problems like the Legend......Karen

Everyone knows how much i love to cruise and that i have one coming up this summer. Perhaps my nonstop chatter about cruises has tipped them off that i am going carnival on my next one. If i had a dime for EVERY PERSON who says something along the lines of, "i hope you have better luck on your cruise than what has been going on lately" or "why did you choose carnival... don't you see they are terrible?" I would be a rich lady. And if i was a rich lady, i would use my money to go on more cruises!

Are you sure you will bre leaving on the Elation? I hear they are having steering problems with one of the Elation's pods now.

Just read it on wiki but haven't found the actual report:

On 9 March 2013, the Elation had to be pulled into port by a tug, after a steering malfunction during a cruise.

The Carnival Elation also ran into problems last weekend with its Azipod units and had to be escorted back to port by a tugboat as it began its voyage from New Orleans last Saturday, Carnival officials said. In a statement, they said the Elation had “a minor issue with the steering function of one of its two Azipod units,” that both units were operational but “the steering function of one has been temporarily taken offline until it can be repaired. The ship is designed to be able to steer with only one Azipod unit, they said.

They are still booking for April 1st, so you should be good to go.

All the negatives out there about Carnival aren't worrying me at all!! I leave in 17 days on my 7th Carnival cruise and I can't wait!!

You may be 2 days late. Your countdown clock says you leave in 15.

We are currently planning on a cruise for 6/22 (time off just got approved)...We had been looking at the great rates in Europe, but the flights are ridiculous....! Currently leaning towards the Oasis OTS, but if the prices on Carnival come down enough, I would have no problem booking the Breeze....

There's such a big difference in mindsets between yours..

* Booked, fully paid, cruising in 17 days, zero possibility of refund

and others with

* Nothing booked, money held tight to chest, all options open...

I would go ahead and have one or two now, and you'll feel really good...I think I'll have one too. Cheers..:)

2 days for me and I can admit that I'm a little worried. I have no idea why...It's my 9th cruise. I know everything will be fine once I get a drink in my system. :D

When I post from phone it doesn't show my countdown clock. I was counting on my fingers when I posted this last night. Might have thrown an extra finger in there ;)

Thanks, Its been a while but had to return, the abuse and let downs were too much, glad to be back, hoping to get enough attention to get Cahill re-called and get Carnival back on its keel with the ways the Fun Ships used to be.

Have a blast on your cruise.
