loum140 Posted April 20, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2013 We're booked on a Virgin Atlantic flight to Heathrow in a 747-400. Seat Guru does not offer a seating map for this plane. There is limited seat selection left in Economy but there is availability in several 3-across rows and in the 2-across last row (64). We prefer 2 across, but does anyone know if these seats recline? Thanks.
Rare FlyerTalker Posted April 20, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 20, 2013 Can't speak to the recline issue (my own uninformed guess would be limited recline), but let me make two other observations. You are near the bathrooms, with all of the associated traffic, noises, aromas and more. You will be one of the last off the aircraft. Which means all of those people will be ahead of you in the line at immigration. Do those factors offset having two seats together? Only you can decide. JPRLHR Posted April 20, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 20, 2013 Yes those seats definitely do recline but it is restricted.
CruiserBruce Posted April 20, 2013 #4 Share Posted April 20, 2013 Seat Guru does definitely have a seat plan for the Virgin Atlantic 747-400, in three versions. All three say the same thing about row 64, desirable as a twosome, some distance from wall/window, under seat storage limited. No mention of restriction of reclining. We did this on an international flight (heavily booked CA to Beijing) and lucked out with that middle seat ending up empty.
