Tink1987 Posted April 24, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2013 Hi all, I hope I am posting this in the right place. I am on the Disney Magic transatlantic cruise from Galveston, TX to Barcelona which arrives on the 1st June. I have read stories of people having to wait up to 3 hours to get a taxi to their hotel/BCN city centre and as we only have 24 hours in Barcelona, I would like to avoid wasting my time queing for a taxi! On the BCN port website, it says that the taxi/bus companies always ensure that there are enough taxis/buses there for the amount of people dis-embarking from the cruise ships but ovbiously this does not tie in with the stories that people tell of waiting 3+ hours. Can anybody recommend a bookable taxi/shuttle from the port to our hotel? Are the buses any better then the taxis wait? Thank you for any advice you can offer :o
Rare Keith1010 Posted April 24, 2013 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2013 We have sailed into Barcelona several times and I can tell you that you won't have to wait very long for a taxi. So if it was me I would not try to pre book any transportation. If you do want to take a private vehicle then I would post this question on the Spain Ports Of Call Board to get some specifics on companies. KirkNC Posted April 24, 2013 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2013 Depending on where your hotel is located you might consider the Aerobus: http://www.aerobusbcn.com/index.php/en.html?gclid=CPzzx6uDi6sCFRmN5godcx03xw We found it works very well.

tahoemw Posted April 24, 2013 #5 Share Posted April 24, 2013 I never had a problem with taxis, they were abundant at the airport; unless something is going on that day in the city; but I did use Barcelona taxi, you make prior arrangements with them; they brought me from the hotel to the port;
