Glory - which cabin to choose

Hi everyone,

Looking for a little guidance on an upcoming cruise. Thinking of booking the Glory (Canada/New England) for mid-July ... fourth cruise, but first time on Carnival (previous on RC and Princess)... just need an inexpensive getaway, so not booking a balcony as we normally would. My question - if cabin options left are outside view on decks 1 and 2, or inside cabin on decks 7 or 8...which would you choose? DH has some motion issues, so wondering if the lower decks are worse for feeling the motion?

Pros and cons? Thank you in advance.... I love the incredible support I always get on these boards!

I think any of those decks as long as the cabin is MIDSHIP. don't go forward as that's where you'll feel the most motion. Also check what's on the deck above and below you.

We've done the Canada itin annually and really enjoy it. Usually very nice weather except the year we caught the tail end of Katia!

Is it hard to get elevators from the lower levels? Not that I couldn't use some exercise, but 7 or 8 flights are a lot to do repeatedly :)

I've had Riviera a few times and no, I didn't notice unusual wait times. I also thought the Riviera deck was quiet.

We love the Glory and we stay at the same area every cruise and its the best location and we really dont feel much movement

For inside I would do 9291 or 9292 for inside or 9289 for a balcony.

Not like people think its not noisy you have your own private hallway and about 30 feet from the food, bars, pool ,morning coffee.

We did cabin 1446 last year and I absolutely loved it. I also am VERY motion affected and this was a great location. I loved the hum of the engines at night and I slept like a baby (which is why I never got to see a sunrise the entire cruise!). On our HAL cruise we were on Deck 6 and no matter how smooth the ocean was, as a motion sensitive person, I was aware there was always a slight port, starboard, port, starboard roll occuring.

Try to get your cabin as close to the aft elevator but stay midship. Aft is where the food and pools are.

-- the best cabin for an oceanview is 9200

too bad for you that its all the way forward

We're booked in 9290 on Glory in July. I hope it's a good location. We were able to upgrade to the Lido deck from deck 6 during the Friends & Family sale. We can't wait for our Canada cruise- never to been to Boston or Canada either!

We just booked a cruise on Glory in an inside cabin on upper that is shaped like a box vs. rectangle. They have their own little hallway behind elevators. Have stayed in these before and they feel so much larger due to the shape. It is mid-ship and VERY convenient to both upper and lower decks. No elevator needed if you can manage without one.

with this type of cabin you have to be careful of your choice. being a few cabins towards midship could be a disaster.

There is a band that sets up across from the Casino bar. and cabins above that area will get a great deal of noise. This band sets up at 9PM and plays til the wee hours. Be very careful of your choices

Never heard noise from atrium. I use a sound machine anyway. No issue!
