browneyedwoman Posted May 13, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2013 I saw that we had one of those doorhangars with Cruisin and Snoozin on it in our stateroom. We never used it . I was wondering if any does?
browneyedwoman Posted May 13, 2013 Author #2 Share Posted May 13, 2013 Oops! I meant "Cruisin" in the title. I can spell but I can't type for anything.
Publius1787 Posted May 13, 2013 #3 Share Posted May 13, 2013 We always do to let the room steward know when we are in or out of the cabin, they have always appreciated this.
cruzzza Posted May 13, 2013 #4 Share Posted May 13, 2013 Used the Cruisin' every time we left the cabin in the morning & evenings to let the steward know we'd be gone a while & it would be ok to service the room. I saw several of them in use in both sides.

nodogkisses Posted May 13, 2013 #6 Share Posted May 13, 2013 Yes. We always use the Cruisin/Snoozin hangtag. Helps the Room Steward know we're finally out of there. Or still in there.
figdu Posted May 13, 2013 #7 Share Posted May 13, 2013 Every time I can remember. Try to make it easier for the steward.

JP4GA Posted May 13, 2013 #10 Share Posted May 13, 2013 Yep.... always, the one time we forgot the cabin stewart knocked and walked in before we could let him know we were in the room. Yep... he walked in and caught us in the act, so now we make sure to put up the sign.
Liverpoollovely Posted May 13, 2013 #11 Share Posted May 13, 2013 We always use the sign so the room steward knows when we are out the room and in the room :)
lettienets Posted May 13, 2013 #12 Share Posted May 13, 2013 Room stewards like to get going with their daily chores. If you hang that sign out when you leave for breakfast, usually the room is done by the time you get back. Nice.
MsMot Posted May 13, 2013 #13 Share Posted May 13, 2013 Absolutely! Would hate for the cabin stewart to come in while I'm in my birthday suit:o.
CRJ700 Posted May 13, 2013 #14 Share Posted May 13, 2013 Absolutely! Would hate for the cabin stewart to come in while I'm in my birthday suit:o. Forgot to put the Snoozin' and the room steward interrupted our screwin'. True story. I think it upset her more than us, she didn't make eye contact with us for the rest of the cruise. Rare skittl1321 Posted May 13, 2013 #15 Share Posted May 13, 2013 We often use the "Snoozin" but have never bothered with the other side.
jmcathome Posted May 13, 2013 #16 Share Posted May 13, 2013 always use it so the steward knows we are out and he can clean. If not he wont usually go in. Just good manners on my part so he knows he can do his job. or hers

JP4GA - I may not always remember to use the signs, ... but I DO remember to deadbolt the door. ;) MsMot - Who would "hate" it more? You or the steward?;)

luvscruising2007 Posted May 13, 2013 #20 Share Posted May 13, 2013 We use them all of the time. I forgot to remove the do not disturb sign once and the steward did not service the room. The signs are very helpful to the steward and does make their job easier.
roswellmom Posted May 13, 2013 #21 Share Posted May 13, 2013 Yep.... always, the one time we forgot the cabin stewart knocked and walked in before we could let him know we were in the room. Yep... he walked in and caught us in the act, so now we make sure to put up the sign. The same thing happened to us on one of our first cruises so we always remember to use the door sign now. Athankfulheart Posted May 13, 2013 #24 Share Posted May 13, 2013 We use it from the first time that we leave the room. Its always on the door either facing one way or the other. We like our room made up while we are gone and we dont want to be barged in on. Thats about the only way to insure that those 2 things will/won't happen :D
Leo's Rule Posted May 13, 2013 #25 Share Posted May 13, 2013 Yep.... always, the one time we forgot the cabin stewart knocked and walked in before we could let him know we were in the room. Yep... he walked in and caught us in the act, so now we make sure to put up the sign. OMG. I'm sure you made his or her day. LOL :o:p Forgot to put the Snoozin' and the room steward interrupted our screwin'. True story. I think it upset her more than us, she didn't make eye contact with us for the rest of the cruise. Poor soul. I'm sure she told the other stewards about what she walked in on. :D
