Does the Grand have a public forward area?

We want to use a forward public area for sail away and wonder if the Grand has one.

We have used these areas on other ships and they have been under the bridge are usually not too large, but are so nice to have a spot like that away from the crowds.

Thanks,
Lin

Yes, indeed she does. It is on the 7th deck (Promenade?) The area is called the "Whales Mouth" and is well protected and generally quiet. We spent a good part of our time there bird watching, whale and dolphin watching during our recent cruise to Hawaii. They do close the area off when the weather is rough and also around dusk.

Deck 7? Forward on deck 7 is the Princess Theater. Where's the viewing area? If you're walking on Promenade forward to need to go up a flight of stairs to deck 8 to continue.

They must have been talking about the area up on deck 8. I believe there is a doorway from the forward end of one of the hallways on deck 8 as well as the access from deck 7 stairway.

Yes, technically it is deck 8 but one must access it from deck 7 and walk forward and up the stairs. It's also the only way to fully circumnavigate the ship while walking the Promenade. I don't believe there are any "public" doorways in this area. However there is one for crew.
