excitedofharpenden Posted May 19, 2013 #2 Share Posted May 19, 2013 They have North American and European sockets (two of each I think). Phil
Phxazzcruisers Posted May 20, 2013 #3 Share Posted May 20, 2013 you will not need a converter. There is a North American plug in both the bathroom and room itself.
Dr H Posted May 27, 2013 #4 Share Posted May 27, 2013 However, you might want to consider taking a small extension cord. The outlets are on or actually under the desk - 2 No American, 2 Euro plugs. There was major contortion and painful twisting on my part last January in our suite setting. The extension gives you more mobility, as well as more outlets. The public areas are all 220/Euro outlets. Enjoy your trip!

Just trying to clarify, does the bathroom have a No. American plug that will not need a plug adaptor and a convertor? Would be one less thing to bring if that is true. Dr H Posted May 29, 2013 #8 Share Posted May 29, 2013 Answer: yes the bathroom outlet is North American, and I THINK it also adapts to the European round plug also, but definitely No American. That's where I usually recharge my phone. For what it's worth, a lot of electronic stuff that we shlepp, laptops, phones, things that need adapters are compatible with both 120 and 220v current. I think you will find that even without a transformer, just carrying a Euro adapter plug (flat blades -> round plug) will expand your usable outlets. maryann ns Posted May 29, 2013 #9 Share Posted May 29, 2013 The bathroom plug is North American, but is meant for things such as shavers. If one of the prongs in your plug is wider than the other, it will not fit in the bathroom.
lahlah57 Posted June 1, 2013 Author #10 Share Posted June 1, 2013 Thanks everyone but I will bring a convertor so I will have more useable outlets as DR H last posted.
Grandma Gilly Posted June 1, 2013 #11 Share Posted June 1, 2013 I always take an extension lead and therefore need just one adaptor.
