gregjm Posted May 21, 2013 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2013 The first Solstice Cruise to Alaska had a great visit to Tracy Arm Fjord early this morning. The clouds early at first light quickly dissipated and we were given a day with crystal clear blue skies to view this most amazing place. I have been to Tracy Arm three times before today and today's visit was, by far, the most impressive. The Captain was able to navigate VERY close to Sawyer glacier. Naturalist Brent Nixon's narration of the visit provided what was, at times, very moving commentary on the majesty of Tracy Arm. After the afternoon in Juneau we are off to Skagway…. The Solstice is a great addition to Alaska. More to follow after our return.

jspirit Posted May 22, 2013 #15 Share Posted May 22, 2013 Glad you are enjoying your Alaskan cruise so much! Do you have to be outside on a public deck to hear the commentary? Or, are you able to be on your own balcony and hear it on your tv? Thanks.
