Mr. Baloo Posted June 13, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2013 Hi all, We are traveling with a group of 12 and are spending a few days in Boston pre-cruise. What would be the best way for us to get from the Marriott Longwharf to the cruise terminal? Thanks Baloo
Rare Keith1010 Posted June 13, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 13, 2013 I would take a few taxis. Keith
Nitemare Posted June 13, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 13, 2013 Hi all, We are traveling with a group of 12 and are spending a few days in Boston pre-cruise. What would be the best way for us to get from the Marriott Longwharf to the cruise terminal? Thanks Baloo If cost is an issue, you can take public transportation. If you're in good shape, and the weather is good and you don't have too much luggage, it's a great walk (just under 2 miles) along the waterfront. Assuming you're going this year you'll walk right past the Courthouse where Whitey Bulger is being tried! If speed in your concern, then taxis are your best option. CaribbeanBound Posted July 26, 2013 #4 Share Posted July 26, 2013 The walk will start out on level ground and work it's way downhill, so you have that going for you. We recently walked from the Westin Waterfront (which is next door to the convention center). It's a 15-minute downhill hike from there. You're at least 20-30 minutes further away. For your large group you might be able to call a van service. There is no direct public transportation that I am aware of.
138east Posted July 27, 2013 #5 Share Posted July 27, 2013 You could contact Rowes Water Taxi to see what they would charge to take a group of 12 from Long Wharf to Black Falcon Terminal by water taxi. http://www.roweswharfwatertransport.com/RWWT_2010/HOME.html
emcee207 Posted July 28, 2013 #6 Share Posted July 28, 2013 138East, We spent some time this past Saturday around Long Wharf with some cruising friends that were visiting us. We hadn't been in a while and I couldn't believe how crowded and wild the area was. People everywhere, lines everywhere, wow, it bordered on chaos. LOL, but we had fun, lots of good people watching:D
