Somebody on another thread mentioned it the other night and wanted to see if any of you have heard about it? Not sure if it's for the aft suites only or what. Would be totally awesome if it were!

I'm thinking not because of the D7s that are right next to the lofts.

Of course we probably won't know for sure until the first sailings have happened. Finding that private access was a pleasant surprise when we cruised Allure last fall.

So has anyone else heard about the private aft elevator?

That wouldn't surprise me, considering on the oasis you have to be buzzed in to get to the loft suites.... I felt like I was coming up from steerage just to visit a friend until his room attendant met me then she would just watch for me and let me in

After looking at the deck plans I don't see where they would fit the elevator.

I don't have the deck plans in front of me, but looking at them is there any regular rooms on the same deck as the aft suites ? If so I would think they would just have the looked glass doors like before to restrict the access to those rooms.

I have my own bakery so look for a Bahama Mama cake with a file in it.

I, personally, love all the ship specific specialty restaurants (i.e. "Chops", "Giovannis", "Samba Grill") and would truly like to see them do MORE ship defined restaurants and NOT focus on shore-based chain restaurants... I can do those anytime at home. I like going to and enjoying the options that I can't do at home... makes it a more special cruise experience.

HOWEVER...

I LOVED...LOVED...LOVED having Starbucks at my beck and call and frequented them often. And of course, with that Royal special touch, the Starbucks staff knew our names and our orders and often saw us coming and already had our order started... thank you Royal! I do hope they keep Starbucks.

Now on to other speculations.... purely speculations...

I recall last year that the host of Rita's Cantina on the Allure and the host at the Seafood Shack on the Oasis were informing their guests over about a 3 week period that those venues would soon be replaced with a "Margaritaville". CC Pax came back and reported this to the boards. At least a half dozen pax confirmed that they, too, were told about it on their particular sailings. THEN...nothing, it stopped. No more announcements, no more information. The informative lips of the crew clammed up cold. My speculation... again just speculation... is that RCCL had signed an agreement with Margaritaville to add them to their line and that the crew on the Allure and Oasis jumped the gun with the announcements. I won't be shocked if we hear that Margaritaville will be premiering on the Quantum and then be added to the Oasis class ships next.

I'm wondering if they will use a Johnny rockets

I just didn't understand why Johnny Rockets was on the Oasis class ships to begin with. The wipeout cafe is just as good and has better selection. They could replace JR's with an old style side fountain/malt shop and do MUCH better.
