1st Seating

On Diamond Princess 13 July and have traditional 1st seating. I've heard 1st seating is now starting at 5:30 instead of 6 PM. Has anyone recently sailed on the Diamond to confirm start time of 1st Seating?

Traditional 1st seating is still around 6 PM.

 

To accomodate more people who want an early seating, the extra demand goes to one of the anytime restaurtants and starts at 5:30 PM. Once that seating is over, the restaurant is anytime again.

 

So, check with your TA or Princess to see if you are confirmed to the regular early seating or to the overflow early seating.

The first seating is now 5:30, on my last three cruises. It can vary, but I doubt it. they told me it makes for an easier time for the wait staff.

The Grand Class ships now have 3 traditional dining times in addition to Anytime Dining.

 

Traditional now is generally 5.30pm, 6pm and 8.15pm.
