Cunard formal nights

We are taking a 12-night cruise to the Black sea on Cunard (Queen Elizabeth). How many formal nights can we expect? What is appropriate for formal nights on Cunard?

Coat and tie required, tuxedos will be prevalent. Women will be dressed to the nines. Your Voyage Personalizer will tell you when the formal nights are. EM

Cunard is still one of the old time, really formal cruise line. Lots of tuxedos and long gowns or short sparkly cocktail dresses. If not in a tux, the men will be in suits.

True, but as is the case with all lines, the dress code is not regularly enforced.

Boy, you have that right. We recently did a QM2 cruise, in a Queen's Grill Suite, and were amazed by what they allowed into the Queen's Grill on formal night. There was a group that were allowed in wearing torn jeans, blue jean mini skirts with cowboy boots and a whole lot more. It was quite disappointing as it just didn't fit with the elegance of the QG.
