Sherilyn,

You look beautiful! Keep up the fight! You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Nine years ago my head was like yours; I am a cancer survivor :).

Hugs

Marie

Marie, I had no idea! You ladies humble me and blow me away with your strength and power!

Thank you to everyone for your amazing support. :)

I think every single one of us has the power and stregnth in us to deal with things like this... we just don't know it until we need it. You have a choice to either curl up in a ball and feel sorry for yourself and stop living right then or you push forward determined to keep going on. I saw no benefit in the first option, far too young at 43 for that and I have a husband and step kids to think about. So I push forward and I will take everything that life has to offer me and not complain too much. I consider myself blessed for any days I have left and hope to make it far past the expected survival rate for my type of cancer (1-3 years) and will not take any of them for granted. :)

Great attitude! It will help you with your battle. You are an inspiration and hopefully your posts will help someone else who is going through a similar fight.

I could not have said it any better. I also am a cancer survivor, stomach cancer....which does not have a high rate of survival. I KNEW something wasn't right, and become the world's biggest "witch" ;) and demanded more tests and it was discovered in a very early stage...I was able to take a pill once a day for 6 months and the cancer is gone. Cancer runs EXTREMELY HIGH in my family, so I keep a close eye on my body. I feel like each and everyone of us, should know our body.

As some of yall know, I now have a pacemaker and my heart is still not working properly. I was just told at my last appt, that I am now at a VERY HIGH risk of having a stroke. So I take it one day at a time. I also am blessed each day I am able to get up and do things. I "live" each day as it could be my last, because no one is promised tomorrow. If I want an ice cream cone, I eat it. If I want to go on a trip, I go (providing I have the money...LOL) What I am saying is I "LIVE" my life.....Regrets....yeah I have a few, but from the day the pacemaker went in, my life started THAT day....it continues to move forward and I will not have any regrets from that day forward

My thoughts and prayers are with you for your speedy recovery

With all that's been going on, I decided, yesterday, that I desperately needed a change. Fortunately my hair stylist could get me in today. Tada!

It's not cut unevenly, that side curls more than the other! LOL

Too many people continually put off things and then never get to do them. Everyone should live each and every day to its fullest. I wish you and Sherilyn best wishes and good health.

Sherilyn,

Your attitude and determination are truly an inspiration, something that I need to take to heart. I have been dealing with a medical issue for two years but it is in no way life threatening. I need to save this post and read it when I get in one of my self pity parties. Thank you and wishing you the best.:)

Looking beautiful! I love your new do! But! I have to tell you this; you need a new camera. The picture does not do you justice. I have met you; you are gorgeous.

Hope everyone is doing well. Please say hello to your mom and give her a big hug for me. I love her. Let’s meet again soon.

Thank you Marie I'll definitely pass along your hug. BTW, this was taken with my phone under the fluorescent lights in my office - eek!

I can't find my dress pictures and I hope I am adding this picture correctly. Here is a picture when we are going to the casino. It was a pair of black pallozo pants and a flowing animal print top that I pulled off the shoulder.

You look great, very Mediterranean stylish :)

Here's a pic of me on a windy deck! And at NCLs White Hot Party.

The windy pic is wonderful, makes one :D

And I've just realized I haven't posted a photo of myself in this thread!!

I have several in the Dress thread and in my reports, but this is me:

I'm a pretty serious person, as you can see. So is my husband:

Siiny, I'd love to be on a cruise with you so we could sit around and be morose together!

We have a friend who just started working on HAL and we promised to visit him on the Statendam.

We may yet have a chance to morose around.

Handsome couple! Love your pictures Sinppu. I am a very out going person. My husband is a serious person, but since we are together he is more playful.

We babysat the grandchildren yesterday. This is what we did to him :D. I text the picture to his son and said, your father cannot go to dinner with us tonight, he is all tide up :D.
