Alaska or Norwegian Fjords

I think they are both great.

It certainly would be easier for you to get to Alaska first. If you select Alaska I would try to find an itinerary that includes Glacier Bay.

You can't go wrong with either one.

We've done both and they were both great. For us Norway was one and done. We've done Alaska twice and would love to go again. The reason that we love Alaska besides the breath taking scenery, is the amazing wildlife....bear, moose, whales, bald eagles.

Alaska will be much more affordable, if that matters. The flight to Scandanavia is more expensive and long. Think jet lag for at least one day. Also the prices in Scandanavia are staggering. Coke $5 Beer $8 if you are planning on buying anything off ship.

First Alaska and then Norway. If you are European reverse this.

That's exactly what we did. First an Alaska cruise, round trip from Vancouver. Then Norway, which was actually a British Isles and Norwegian Fjords cruise. Then back to Alaska for a cruisetour (5 night land tour followed by a 7 night southbound cruise).

Definitely the Norwegian Fjords. The scenery is epic, the towns, cities and villages are beautiful. While Alaska has terrific scenery the ports are extremely touristy and detracts from the experience.

The Fjords are majestic, dramatic and quite awe inspiring.
