Best place to buy gas in Kahului and Hilo?

I know that Costco will be our best bet when on Oahu and Kauai, but where should we go for the best price on the other islands? Thanks!

Gas prices are regulated by the state. The price will be very close to the same everywhere. 3 or 4 cents variation.

 

Costco is also right by the port in Kahalui, and has a gas station, if you are docking there. As I recall, gas was 6 cents cheaper than nearby stations.

I can't recall the exact Aloha Gas station in Hilo, but it is near Big Island Candies. If you have a AAA card and pay cash, I think you will get an additional 5 cents off a gallon (statewide).

In Hilo, you won't find much difference in prices between stations. Like cr8tiv1 said, there is an Aloha Gas station just opposite the entrance to the airport that many folks use just before returning their rental cars. Usually, the cheapest prices (by only a couple of cents) are out in the Pahoa area near where I live. Can't figure out why this is :confused: But, Pahoa is a good 20 miles from the airport area and way out of your way!!

We recently returned from Maui...Costco near the port & the airport was $4.10 per gallon which was 55 cents per gallon less expensive than other gas stations! :D

 

You have to be a Costco member & pay with AmEx or a Costco cash card so not everyone can go there.
