Ketchikan and Celebrity

I have read that the Celebrity ship that is docked in Ketchikan had caused some ships to have to tender. Has the Millennium caused any problems for the HAL ships that call on Ketchikan.

I'll be on the Oosterdam early September. Has there been any news about when the Millenium will be leaving?

Dock 4 is my least favorite dock in Ketchikan so I searched further and found an article that indicated that the Millennium is at berth 3. I still haven't found out when it is leaving.

We are supposed to be at Dock 1 and I think the Millennium had last docked at 2 prior to returning the Ketchikan so I was hoping it wasn't tying up both berths.

I wish they would give ship tours since it's just sitting there. I've never been on a Celebrity ship but have been considering them since they sail in the Pacific.

I like the idea of a tour. Would love to see the ship and waht an easy time for them to do it!

That's a great idea! Doubt they have thought of it.

I toured the Millie a couple of years ago with my TA - the lunch was excellent - but I found the ship kind of dark and depressing:( But that's just me.

I cruised on the Millenium several years ago & strangely enough, I too, found it dark & depressing! :( Do you recall the large, ?dark brown coloured ?steel doors that served as the entrance to the MDR? :D

Just a heads up; Oosterdam docks at Berth #1 in Ketchikan with an All Aboard time of 12:30 due to her high speed run to Victoria, BC; the other HAL ships there on the same day, Zaandam or Statendam depending on the week, will dock at Berth #2 or Berth #4 in Ketchikan
