upgrades when boarding

Am sailing 8/28 from Sevilla. I know there are empty cabins on board and am wondering how Azamara handles last minute upgrades on boarding. Do they have such a thing and if so how does it work?

You should post your query on the Azamara boards. as all cruiselines are different. RCI is owned by the same parent company. For them, after checking in you would see the Pier Coordinator to see if there are empty cabins available. This is rare since most upgrades are gobbled up by this time, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
