Rare 1025cruise Posted September 1, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2013 Did you check your roll call? That's where you will find others on your cruise, and specifically, where Cruise Critic requests that tour shares be posted?
paul929207 Posted September 1, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 1, 2013 Welcome to Cruise Critic. As mentioned above, the place to find people sailing with you is the Roll Call for your cruise. To join, go to the top of this page and move the cursor over "Community". Select Roll Calls from the drop down. Scroll to your cruise line and then Click on your ship. Finally, find the thread for your sailing.

Drofnil19 Posted September 1, 2013 Author #8 Share Posted September 1, 2013 Hi Jolric We have been looking at several tours (private) round Rome and it seems to make sense to share with 4 others. Can you let us know who you have been looking at - we are fit and eager to explore. Which tour are you interested in doing. Two of our party have never been to Rome and would like to experience as much as possible in one day.
jolric Posted September 1, 2013 #9 Share Posted September 1, 2013 Hi JolricWe have been looking at several tours (private) round Rome and it seems to make sense to share with 4 others. Can you let us know who you have been looking at - we are fit and eager to explore. Which tour are you interested in doing. Two of our party have never been to Rome and would like to experience as much as possible in one day. We have just started a group tour with romeinlimo using their romeinlimotoursharing website. If you have a look you will find our group with 4 seats available. The tour is a rome highlights tour allowing us to see all the main stops including Coliseum, Vatican, St Peters, Trevi, Spanish Steps, Pantheon etc. We decided on this company based on the consistent fantastic reviews on tripadvisor. They use a small mini van which allows direct access to all the sites with minimal walking (this was essential for us). Have a look and let me know what you think. My husband and I are from Manchester UK, and we're newbie cruisers. Don't forget to join the roll call though, it's a great way to pick up info on our cruise. Drofnil19 Posted September 1, 2013 Author #11 Share Posted September 1, 2013 WE are also from England (and flying from Manchester) - our only problem is that I get car sick so will need to sit in the front of the van - is that a problem? There is a bit of walking to do in Rome, i.e. in the Colliseum itself (I presume you would want to go in) so although you do not want to walk too far, I believe there is always some walking in Rome. We are mother and father and son and partner in our four. We have cruised several times before but it is our son's first time both for cruising and visiting Rome. Lovely to hear from some fellow Brits. I apologise if I gave the impression there would be no walking, it's just that the walking is heavily reduced by using a private service such as this. I shouldn't think the car sickness would be an issue, as they appear very accomodating. However, I would suggest contacting Jany by emailing rome in limo (she usually replies very quickly). Also have a look on the romeinlimotoursharing site and look for our group, you can contact the group leader to check and discuss with the other couple, alternatively look for member cajr on cruiscritic roll call. My husband and I will be visiting Rome for the first time so we are keen to see all the sites including the Coliseum (inside). We may opt to miss the Sistine chapel as we wish to spend time in St Peters Basilica and I believe it can be very rushed to both. However, we are open to all options and will probably discuss the specifics once all 8 passengers are confirmed.
