Trickie Dickie Posted September 29, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 29, 2013 Has anyone done a back to back on different ships at Port Everglades? I'm thinking about booking 2 cruises one on Celebrity then one on HOL. It would mean getting off one ship and then boarding another. What do you do? :D
Rare Keith1010 Posted September 29, 2013 #2 Share Posted September 29, 2013 This is done often. You'll leave one ship and then wait to board the other one. Keith
98Charlie Posted September 29, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 29, 2013 You can just grab a taxi when you disembark the first ship. The cabbie may not be real happy if its just going from one pier to another but that's part of the business. If you lounge on the first ship to be one of the last off you shouldn't have too bad of a wait to board the second. Charlie

Charlie And the suggestion is that you don't tell the cab driver where you are headed until you are seated inside.
Putterdude Posted September 29, 2013 #5 Share Posted September 29, 2013 We have done it but the cruises were one day apart so we simply moved the Renaissance for the night. Rather than messing with a cabbie's day, you may be able to walk between ships. Just a last word, having done it, we probably wouldn't do it again, it is a real hassle going thru check in procedures, unpacking, packing, going thru check in again, unpacking, then packing again.....now we do b/b's on the same ship. Rare Keith1010 Posted September 29, 2013 #6 Share Posted September 29, 2013 Don't worry one second about how to get from one ship to the other. That is just not a big deal. Rather, be happy that when your first cruise ends you have another one to enjoy. Keith
Rare JamesEM Posted September 30, 2013 #7 Share Posted September 30, 2013 Just give the cab driver a nice tip up front and he will be happy.
Isa65 Posted September 30, 2013 #8 Share Posted September 30, 2013 A couple of months ago we did a B2B at Port Everglades, getting off the Oasis and getting on Carnival Freedom (docked next to each other). It was not walkable, so we took a taxi. Told him upfront where we were headed and gave him a nice tip. He didn't mind at all.
