NanaL Posted October 6, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 6, 2013 Can anyone tell me the path you take to get to the tram to go to Barefoot Beach. Someone put it on some months ago before I booked a cabana. Thanks for any info, Linda

Someone put it on some months ago before I booked a cabana. Thanks for any info, Linda The Concierge usually escorts his guests to the shuttle. We met in the CL at the time he told us. The shuttle was just the other side of the security gates at the pier. It is actually a short walk on the main path/roadway to where the entrance is to Barefoot Beach from there. Have fun!!! oneputt18 Posted October 6, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 6, 2013 Barefoot Beach is for GS and above suites, you don't need a tram, there is a dedicated golf cart to take you there after you exit the pier. Just ask when you get off.

Rare Lionesss Posted October 6, 2013 #6 Share Posted October 6, 2013 The golf cart ride was a nice perk to get to barefoot beach. Sometimes we took it if we had to get to the beach unload our stuff to catch an early jet ski. Other times we just walked and got there in 8-10 min. Llmtax2000 Posted October 6, 2013 #7 Share Posted October 6, 2013 Is that a recent change? In 2011 we relaxed on Barefoot Beach and we weren't in a GS/suite. We were there this August, and it was definitely for suite guests only -- it is walled in, and the beach concierge (who was accompanied by the fabulous Willie, from the CL) was checking for gold cards on the way in. It really is just a VERY short walk from the pier.

Clarea Posted October 6, 2013 #13 Share Posted October 6, 2013 What is the best beach for just plain folks? Do you have to have a suite to book a cabana? You don't need a suite to book a cabana on Nellie's Beach. Book on the website as early as you can.

Clarea Posted October 7, 2013 #16 Share Posted October 7, 2013 So Nellies Beach is the only beach I can go to if im not in a suite and not rated? No, you can go to Adrenaline Beach and Columbus Cove too. Nellie's is the only beach with cabanas that non-suite guests (and OC members) can rent. SusieBrent Posted October 7, 2013 #17 Share Posted October 7, 2013 So which beach doesn't have all the rocks? I thought barefoot beach was open to everyone.
flowers44 Posted October 7, 2013 #18 Share Posted October 7, 2013 The sand at Nellie's Beach is like powdered sugar. It was wonderful to walk on. No rocks at all. Totally sandy bottom with no rocks or weeds.
Rare Lionesss Posted October 7, 2013 #19 Share Posted October 7, 2013 So which beach doesn't have all the rocks? I thought barefoot beach was open to everyone. Barefoot beach became a private "suite" beach a couple years back, for grand suite and above, and also pinacle (gold cards). Sea Ya
