Explorer Muster Drill

Recommended Posts

Some muster stations are inside, some are outside. Unless you have been on that ship before you really have no way of knowing if you will be inside or outside. Royal did do away with wearing life jackets several years ago.

I am so glad to hear no more life jackets. It has been several years since I have been on Explorer and I remember standing on the cold windy deck, crammed in like sardines with life jackets on. On a positive note, I remember a nice employee getting my elderly father a chair off to the side to make it easier on him. :)

Actually, from what I was told by a crew member, that is the reason

they did away with weariing your life jacket to muster.

Several people had tripped and fell down the stairs over the years. :(
