cruz chic Posted November 19, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 19, 2013 That is odd. Looks like you have a guarantee now. I'd call HAL if you booked thru them or call your TA.
Krazy Kruizers Posted November 19, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 19, 2013 That is very strange. Have you checked you "Luggage Tag" area on HAL (Just to see what cabin number is listed there)? In any event your need to contact either your TA or whomever you booked your cruise through and find out what is happening.
mamaofami Posted November 19, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 19, 2013 . As long as you didn't disappear you're OK. Call Hal or your TA.
sail7seas Posted November 19, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 19, 2013 Definitely contact your TA or HAL directly if you booked without a TA. The sooner you verify you have your chosen cabin, the better. You don't want to risk it being assigned to someone else.
HamOp Posted November 19, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 19, 2013 Did you indicate "Do Not Upgrade" when you made the reservation? If you didn't, maybe an upgrade is in your future.

HokiePoq Posted November 20, 2013 Author #9 Share Posted November 20, 2013 Did you indicate "Do Not Upgrade" when you made the reservation? If you didn't, maybe an upgrade is in your future. I can hope!!! No, I didn't put that and should have. I've been into the deck plans and while I had a specific number, the guarantee is for the kind of cabin I chose. I'll be happy if I get that or better, but "better" is subjective. I like the category's location but find only about 6-8 of that kind. Will double check documents and check with TA. Thanks to everyone for the good advice.
jtl513 Posted November 20, 2013 #10 Share Posted November 20, 2013 ... the guarantee is for the kind of cabin I chose. If you have a guarantee I don't understand why you ever had a number. It seems to me that was an error.
Rare LAFFNVEGAS Posted November 20, 2013 #11 Share Posted November 20, 2013 I would be calling HAL to find out what is going on, this definitely does not seem right if you already had a cabin number that you chose.HAL is open till 7pm pacific time so another 2 hours. I personally would be calling to find out why the change.

cruz chic Posted November 20, 2013 #23 Share Posted November 20, 2013 Oh? And the bug is not? Yes, on a cruise. Not HAL of course, they don't allow bugs (do they?) Too be honest the bug drives me nuts because I keep thinking it's real. Someone on the Princess board has it too so I'm happy not to be reading both boards. Wish the OP would come back. I guess I missed something in all the conversation, however,, here is my summary -- the OP picked a cabin, allowed for an upgrade, and now is in 'limbo' waiting for the result. If I am correct on this OP needs to call the travel agent or HAL and find out what is going on. Whenever I've 'allowed for an upgrade' when it happened the new cabin showed up immediately. I've never done a guarantee so.... Edited November 21, 2013 by momatibm
