TonyinFla Posted November 26, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 26, 2013 We are sailing on Connie on Dec. 9th. Its our first Celeb cruise. We cruise a lot, this is just our first celeb cruise. We got concierge class as an added feature to our booking. Do we go to a priority line to embark, and do we have any advantage on disembark. We like to get on as early as possible, and like to be the first ones off the boat as we go back to work on the day we arrive. Thanks for any input.
Rare cruisestitch Posted November 26, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 26, 2013 There is a dedicated check-in line for Concierge Class. It might be shorter or longer than the other lines. As for getting off the ship, you will be asked to fill out a form during the cruise, indicating your disembarkation requests. If you want to be first off, ask for the Self-disembark option. However, to do this, you must be able to move all your luggage with no assistance, possibly down a flight or two of stairs. It is not suitable for anyone with a lot of luggage or any mobility problems. If you can't do Self-Disembark, ask for the earliest possible disembarkation time and you will usually be accommodated. Concierge Class has no special status when it comes to disembarkation priorities.

Depending upon the number of others with "priority boarding", and the time you arrive at the terminal, this may or may not be much of an advantage. On debarkation, one of the specialty restaurants, or some similar venue, will be designated as the Concierge Class debarkation lounge. There will be light breakfast items, and you can stay there until it's time for your group to leave. Not a huge thing in either case, but certainly better than nothing, and it makes disembarkation a tad more pleasant (if anything about having to leave a cruise ship can be said to be "Pleasant"). TonyinFla Posted November 26, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted November 26, 2013 Thank you. I guess we'll look at both lines. We normally do the self disembark, or as I call it; "grab your ""stuff"" and run." :D

WestLakeGirl Posted November 27, 2013 #7 Share Posted November 27, 2013 Everybody gets that same letter. If you think about it, all the suites, all the Aqua Class, all the Concierge Class, have the same wording. That's about half the ship getting the same "priority", hmmmm.? rosegrower Posted November 27, 2013 #8 Share Posted November 27, 2013 Yes, every one gets the letter, some earlier than others. All I know is that we got the time we wanted so hmmm, it worked for us!
purduemom1 Posted November 28, 2013 #9 Share Posted November 28, 2013 Just completed 15 nights on Infinity in Concierge Class. Ship had delayed boarding due to inspections. When we arrived, check in was very fast and C Class was allowed to board ahead of some others. Debarkation was as described in other posts. We waited in the Trellis dining room but no light breakfast or even coffee. The wait was long due to many non US citizens needing to clear customs first. Once off ship, it was quick and easy. ClaudiaB Posted November 28, 2013 #10 Share Posted November 28, 2013 Tony We like to get off early too. We take our stuff and run, but we don't line up at the appointed time. We line up about 45 min. to an hour before that. Typically you get down to whatever deck and your luggage becomes your place in line. We grab something to drink and a quick bite to eat from Cafe' Bacio and come sit and wait to leave.
