The offer is on the Princess home page so I assume it is available to anyone.

I don't see it when I bring up the home page.

I see:

o Thanksgiving Sale

o Getaways from $199

o Celebrate the Holidays with Princess

But I do not see the offer for get your $$$ back for short cruises

I just got off the phone with Princess and plan on booking one of these cruises.

1) You must book by Dec 31, 2013

2) The cruise must be a Getaway Cruise (3-4 Day) departing from LA or Orlando in January 2014

3) The 100% credit is derived from the base fare you pay and does not include any taxes, tips, on board expenses etc.

4) The credit can only be used on cruises 7 days or longer

5) The credit must be used by 12-31-2014

Since we plan on booking a longer cruise for later in the year, any thing we pay for a January cruise ($499 each for a balcony) will credited towards the next cruise.

I would say that is a very good deal. Just make sure you plan on taking a 7+ day cruise sometime next year.

Wait are there getaway or primcess cruises from Orlando I think they are all out of Fort Lauderdale ? I'm booked on a getaway princess cruise from Fort Lauderdale next month, can I get this credit then ?

We are already booked (and paid) on the Jan 5 Sapphire 4-day. so I had my TA call to see if we could get the deal. She talked to a few agents and they all said no. I called and the agent I talked to said we *are* eligible. I'm not sure what to believe at this point.

Hi Rick

Other people have reported that they got it (and that everyone on the cruise got it retroactively!) Keep pushing it!

We booked the Ruby Princess ( Dec. 14th sailing) last week. Yesterday, I called and asked if we would get the credit that was being offered this week. She said everyone on the ship will be getting it and it will be done automatically. This is the best deal to date..paid $129 for a 4 day cruise and got upgraded to a balcony. And now I have leverage to convince my hubby to go on another Princess cruise later in the year.

No, you can't. You're on my Xmas cruise and that one does not count.

Oh "The Suite Life".

Booked it for January. Pricey but will use the credit towards an already booked

long cruise .

Did the same thing in October. The credit is put in your account the second day of cruise so you can book while on board or later on.

Princess fills those ships for the short cruises. The bars and casino crowded

the whole time. People also were buying plenty of photos too.

I am sure Princess more than profits from these deals.

And for me, I get to sail in a suite, something I can't afford to do on our usual cruises.

Last time we had aft facing Vista Suite. This time selected side facing Penthouse. Love the breakfast room service(special menu). Could have gone to Sabatini's but decided to breakfast in, instead.

And the last morning of cruise, Suites still can order room service.

It is fun for a quick getaway

You think all these perks will spoil me? :D Can't get too attached to a suite, because I can't afford to do it either.

if I book the qualifying cruise to get the 100% credit and after that cruise I book a future cruise at the going rate, if there are any price decreases am I eligible to get them or am I stuck with the rate I booked for the future cruise? i.e booking a 7day for 1049 and rate later drops to less that 1049 can I get the new rate?

I thought that, maybe, only those that received the email were seeing the free cruise offer on the website. But neither my wife or I received the email but we both see the 100% credit offer on the Princess website. So, we have booked a January cruise. Thanks CC.

You can always get refared at a lower rate providing it's before final payment. Doesn't matter whether you have booked with the cruise line directly or with a travel agent.

That's what we were thinking, too, so just booked long weekend on Ruby and snagged mini-suite E731 for it! 2nd time in that room and love the large balcony.

Now to plan the longer cruise to use our FCC!

A few questions:

Are these FCCs per person on the future cruise, or per cabin? In other words, if both of us get the FCC, can we both use it on a future 7 day cruise? Or can only one of our FCCs be applied to the cabin on the future cruise?

Are the FCCs usable on any fare for the Future 7 day cruise, or only the published launch rate? Are they combinable with sales, discounts, etc...? If the fare decreases, will we be able to take advantage of that?

If we did two of these short cruises, can we combine both FCCs on a single future 7+ day cruise?

Are these FCCs combinable with the $100 FCC's purchased onboard from a previous cruise?

My question is whether the FCC may be applied to any 7+ day 2014 cruise that is not yet paid in full at the "time of booking" the promotional qualifying cruise or may the FCC only be applied to any 7+ day 2014 cruise that is not yet paid in full at "completion" of the promotional qualifying cruise.

My TA spoke with Princess and the part of my original question above in bold print appears to be the policy for this promotion. My interpretation would therefore be that the FCC could only be applied to a 2014 7+ day cruise that would sail at least 75 days after the completion of the qualifying cruise. If anyone finds something to the contrary please post.

FCCs are per person. Applicable to most published fares. FCCs from multiple qualifying cruises can be combined. Don't know the answers to your other questions.

This is a fantastic promotion. We took advantage of it the first time it was offered in October/November. Would love to take advantage of it again, but can't get the time off. Go for it and enjoy.

Not quite. For example, once you have the credit you could book a new cruise that leaves the following week and apply it. You just could not have booked it and paid earlier. So your 75 day limit only applies to a cruise you had previously booked and paid for in full already, not to last minute bookings on cruise already in the full payment window.

I am so bummed. We are on the Smooth Jazz Cruise on HAL sailing January 12th from Ft. Lauderdale. There's no way for us to tack one of these on either before or after. Looked into the Dec 14th sailing and taking our 20 year old son, but we'd have to pay for airfare and he would get the credit for his portion of the cruise even if we paid for it. Who doesn't love a free cruise and this would have put us one away from Elite.

Does anyone know, if the credit you earn on your short cruise is more than the fare on your 7+day future cruise, can you apply the extra to onboard expenses?

No you can't. The FCC can only be applied against the cruise fare (excluding gubmint taxes and fees) for a single cruise. Any leftover balance would be forfeited.

Can they apply this promotion to fares bought through Princess "Friends and Family"? A little worried and peeved that F&F saved $30 but could possibly mean complete loss of the 100% back offer. I hadn't heard about the offer when I booked on Tuesday and I would have certainly paid that extra $30 for the deal.

Actually, just noticed there's an onboard credit also, so the actual jump in price from F&F to this deal is $7 grrrr:mad:
