earltonharley Posted November 27, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 27, 2013 Hi all, I am going on a family cruise on 12JUL2014 and would like to know the largest amount of people (seating capacity) I can have at a table in the MD, and also Portofino's. Can someone please advise me. Thank you in advance, John
meatloafsfan Posted November 27, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 27, 2013 We were seated at a table of 10 in the MDR (it was an oblong table by the doors). Other than the Captain's table, I don't think I saw any bigger than that.
Clarea Posted November 27, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 27, 2013 I've occasionally seen tables for 12. I've also seen larger tables they put togeter with a special attachment. However, I suggest that service would be better and conversation easier with several smaller tables near each other.

Cannot really converse well at a 12 top. I have seen a wedding party in Portofino. They put tables together in the rear to make a long table for about 20. 138east Posted November 27, 2013 #7 Share Posted November 27, 2013 I just got back from the Navigator and I was able to arrange a table for fourteen, 12 of whom were solos. This worked well for us to meet and mingle at the table. It also gave folks a chance to go and eat in alternative venues without leaving a half empty table.
