POP UP ADs

Just sayin': It could be more than just activating the "block pop ups" on your browser. There are pop up viruses. I had one that caused pop-up ads and highlighted words, etc. Fortunately I identified the name of it, found it in my program listing, and "uninstalled" it. I have no idea how it got installed in the first place.

As mentioned above, make sure you have the pop-up blocker in your browser turned on. If you do have your pop-up blocker on, and you still see pop-ups, you have malware on your computer.

You need an up-to-date antivirus and spyware cleaner. Those mentioned above are good.

I prefer to pay McAfee an annual fee to keep all my computers secured with antivirus, firewall, internet security features,etc.., but to each his own.
