Port Canaveral Shuttles and Hotels

We are leaving out of Port Canaveral April 27, 2014 on the Carnival Sunshine. We will be flying to Sanford Airport in Orlando late on April 26. We are thinking we should take a shuttle to the Cape Canaveral area that night and take a cab/shuttle to the port the next morning? Are there any cheap hotels in the area that offer low cost shuttles to the port?

We just stayed 1 night at the Radisson in Canaveral last month before our week long cruise to the Bahamas. Very reasonable room rate and free parking for the week and round trip shuttle included. I believe it's the closest hotel to the port, 5 - 10 minutes from the ships. Very good operation.:D

There is a

Country Inn and Suites

9009 Astronaut Blvd, Cape Canaveral, FL 32920 ‎

(321) 784-8500

Residence Inn Cape Canaveral Cocoa Beach

8959 Astronaut Blvd, Cape Canaveral, FL 32920 ‎

(321) 323-1100

Radisson Resort at the Port

8701 Astronaut Blvd, Cape Canaveral, FL 32920 ‎

(321) 784-0000

These 3 places are all right next to each and less than a five minute drive to the port. I wouldn't recommend the Ramada in Ft Lauderdale, it would be about a 2.5 to 3 hour drive

We always stay at the Radisson at the Port. We stayed last month for $125. This included parking for the week at the hotel, a room w a pull-away cot and shuttle to and from Port Canaveral for 5 of us. They have a beautiful pool area and big pool bar. It is the closest hotel to the port. And for about $40 more breakfast could have been included.

We are staying at the Radisson right by the Port, (Coco Beach) you can get the "fly, stay, shuttle" package and they pick you up at the airport, take you to the Radisson then to the ship the next day.

I'll check this out with the Radisson. Thanks for the info!!

Are you flying into Sanford or MCO?
