Restaurants Near Doubletree (Hilton) Westminster

There is not a great deal of choice in the immediate vicinity - see some discussion on this thread:

But you are 15 minutes walk away from a wide choice in the Victoria area, for example. "good" is very subjective, though - what kind of thing are you looking for?

The hotel is not too well placed for nearby Restaurants though if you are looking fir somewhere at lunchtime then the Tate Gallery is a possibility. If you are looking for something essentially British than in descending order of price I would suggest Rules (in Maiden Lane), Simpsons in the Strand or Bumbles in Buckingham Palace Road.

Rules and Simpsons in the Strand are both near Covent a Garden where there is a wide range of restaurants offering different types of cuisine, as does Soho. If you are taking in a London Theatre, many places, including Simpsons do a pre-theatre menu.

Sapori Cafe.

Walk up to Horseferry Rd, cross the Road, hang a left, just a few hundred yards.

Not 'Chic' by any means... but good food at a very reasonable (for London) rate.

So, there are no moderately priced restaurants in the immediate area of the Doubletree Westminster? For dinner? We'll only be there for two nights pre-cruise, probably a little jet-lagged, and really don't want to travel too far, by subway or cab, to have dinner.

Would we be better off at another hotel?

We ate in the hotel and quite enjoyed it. I had booked a restaurant found on trip advisor but because we were tired and it was raining I cancelled it and we ate in.

There are no restaurants or shops in the same street as the hotel but there are lots of restaurants in the surrounding area just couldn't recommend any.

This is a good hotel and the location is great for tourists. 10 minutes on foot to parliament and Westminster abbey. Bus from outside the hotel goes to Trafalgar Square.

Agree with earlier poster - the Tate is pleasant for lunch!
