Chops steak

We always do the filet as it's probably the best blend of flavor, size, and (low) fat content.

I've never had the porterhouse at Chops (it's huge, if memory serves), but there's no doubt that if you're truly a steak lover, a porterhouse will be better than a filet, as the fat content and size will make for a more flavorful steak! I don't remember the exact size, but it's BIG.

Another filet vote... but make mine rare! My son had the New York strip and loved it. A friend once did the Braised Short Ribs and I gotta say they looked fantastic.

And don't forget the appetizers. If you like oysters the oyster duet is fantastic, as is the shrimp cocktail. On Oasis in Sep. I asked the waiter which he recommended so he just brought both. The shrimp were huge and delicious as were the oysters.

Sides are all great and come "family style" so order a bunch.

I never really make desert, but we will share the creme brulee..It's about all I can handle after everything else.

Now I'm hungry!

Filet is tender, but is completely lacking any steak flavor (which is why they offer all those sauces). I wish they offered a nice ribeye or delmonico steak.

Of the choices they offer, I guess I would go with the t-bone (which is just the filet and NY Strip before they are cut apart) so you get to try both.

Just off the Liberty. On first night they offer a steak and lobster special and you can choose your steak. Most we saw seemed to take the filet (small one). I had 2 lobsters instead of the steak and DH had porterhouse and lobster. We were dining with 2 other couples and their combinations varied. All agreed that the entire meal was exceptional.
