abhirup_basak Posted December 10, 2011 #1903 Share Posted December 10, 2011 Hi cruiser_elston! I learnt that you been on Star Cruises many times. I am a to-be first-time cruiser and would like to know whether you have been to Phang-nga bay tour from Phuket. Also I would like to know the timings of SuperStar Virgo arriving and leaving Phuket. The itinerary mentions 7:30 to 16:00 (local time) but is there any chance of getting some more time? Does the ship strictly abide by the itinerary timings? Actually we are considering renting a boat and doing our own thing at Phang-nag Bay, so we would like to have as much time as possible. Regards. Yes it does - and if you are not back on-board by the specified time, you may well be left behind!

abhirup_basak Posted December 20, 2011 #1907 Share Posted December 20, 2011 How much time ahead of ETD from a port-of-call do we need to be on the ship? For example, the ETD of Superstar Virgo from Phuket is 1700 hrs (Singapore time). In this case, by what time do we need to be back on the ship? Bugis Posted January 23, 2012 #1908 Share Posted January 23, 2012 Virgo is now back doing SOM cruises after the M$25 drydock so it will be very interesting to hear some feedback on the work carried out.

Bugis Posted February 3, 2012 #1911 Share Posted February 3, 2012 That's good information on the renovation to Virgo, some good photos also. Did the balcony cabins get upgraded and are there photos, plus what does Bellini now look like. Did Bella Vista get changed and any photos would be great. boghawala Posted April 30, 2012 #1918 Share Posted April 30, 2012 Can anyone give opinion on how is deck 11 (BA type cabin) on the SSV?
Knightcruise2012 Posted May 1, 2012 #1919 Share Posted May 1, 2012 Think this is a great cabin since there's a balcony for u to relax $ enjoy the sea breeze.. Only setback I would think of would be depending which part of the ship your cabin is located as you may experience some noise from deck 12 activity but I doubt it'll be an issue to worry about ya.. So not to worry & I bet you will enjoy your cruise! When are u cruising on her? Can anyone give opinion on how is deck 11 (BA type cabin) on the SSV? Bugis Posted May 8, 2012 #1922 Share Posted May 8, 2012 It would be great if someone could write a detailed review of their cruise experience on Virgo, since the dry dock upgrade as compared to pre dry dock. What is better, worse etc etc and plenty of photos or video would be fantastic. This would be great for people thinking about cruising on Virgo. :) Thanks. cheeky_minx Posted May 31, 2012 #1923 Share Posted May 31, 2012 Hiya The renovation photos of virgo look great. I saw plans to continue renos with the removal of Galaxy of the Stars in 2013 and extension of the casino across decks 6 in 2014 ... it would be shame to loose all those great spaces to casino floors. We are planning a SSV cruise in 2013 - havent been on for the past couple of years. Also, does SSV still do their cruise to Vietnam - they used to do one a year about June each year ??? only stopped twice - Vietnam and Redang Island - would love to do that itinerary again - also are there any plans for more than 5 nights??? Virgo is still one of our favourite ships having done a variety of ships and lines .... Really be interested to hear from the SSV loyalists what they make of the reno and whether the increased focus on gambling detracts at all ? she still has the wow factor ... Kind regards Jane
