But you can request it menu or not

So what's the point of having "different" menu every night, if there's a "secret" menu you can order anything from?

Why not just have the same menu every night with all the offerings on it?

I see on one night's menu there is a passion fruit flan.

Can anyone who has tried this report back on it? Was it good? Was it similar to creme brulee? Just wondering. Also the coconut lime cake sounds good to me.

So do I just ask if they have it, or do I need to request it a day in advance?

Ask every night just in case?

No ideal.. John heald just said it was still available on request

We were on the Liberty in January and they were using the new American Table menus. The crème brulee, soufflés, and bitter and blanc were not on he menus for any night. I was very disappointed as those are my favorites.

But you can request it menu or not

You can request it, but you won't get it. I asked for the bitter and blanc every night just teasing around with my waiters and they tried to get it for me, but the chef wouldn't make it since it wasn't on the menu.

We cruised on the Legend last week and I ordered the creme brulee one evening. Mine was just ok, but a dining companion at our table complained that hers was actually cold. This leads me to think they have them made up in a refrigerator and just reheat? It was not as good as I remember on other cruises. Overall I thought the dinner choices were mediocre and the only entree I truly enjoyed was the ribs and the filet on another night.

They served it on the Splendor in January and also on the Dream in February. They offer it on the first night, in the MDR.

One night, in the MDR third or fourth night I asked if I could have crème brulee and the waiter said "no" not on the menu. I also recall JH saying you could request it anytime, but I guess not all ships are aware of his answers to certain questions. As a matter of fact, I mentioned that JH said we could order it anytime in the MDR to the waiter and he had no idea who JH was...go figure:eek:
