What was your first Carnival ship?

My first cruise was 1968 on the Mardi Gras . Yard of ale drinking contest, shooting trap off the aft, no shows had to go to the casino in Nassau for their floor show. Two single beds not able to push together. Shower and marine toilet real close together. Shower curtain covered both.

1968? Carnival Cruise Lines wasn't even around then. Are you sure you don't mean 1978 maybe?

Celebration out of Jacksonville in 2007. I too was so amazed by the size when I first saw her!

No matter what ship I sail on now, I'm still amazed by their size as I'm walking beside it preparing to board.

I will never cruise another Fantasy-class ship across the Gulf of Mexico; nearly didn't become a regular cruiser....it was an awful vacation. All the folks here convinced me there must be more to it, so we tried again. Have been happy on larger ships since!

Tropicale, she lost a propulsion gearbox before we left port causing an 8 hour delay and missing our first port call. They sold her a month later after she had waste system problems on another cruise. Tried the Destiny with our credit issued due to problems and are now platinum!
