Question about dining

Recommended Posts

If you sign up for early dining are you able to use "My Time Dining" occasionally throughout the cruise?

Hi. No you can't do this because with MTD, your gratuities are pre-paid before you leave home (added to your final bill). Traditional dining times do not require pre-paid tips.

You can see if there is availability to switch to MTD though, either now, or when you board. Passengers often switch around so if this is something that interests you, it can sometimes be done. :)

Thanks...may have to consider switching. We are traveling with two toddlers so as much as I try to get everyone out the door on time, sometimes it just doesn't happen.

You can sign up for MTD but pre-reserve 6:00 as your requested time so that you are still on the early schedule if desired. (MTD actually starts at 5:30). But as needed you can then adjust the time day to day to fit your schedule by either changing your reservation in advance or just showing up and using the non-reservation line for available tables. It would be courteous to the staff to cancel your reservation for that day in advance if you plan to just show up without one, however. As mentioned you will prepay your gratuities at the time you choose MTD.

Do you know how long early dining takes to complete? We have early seating at 5:30, wondering if the little ones will even be able to sit still through a formal dinner.

Depends on the size of your table. It can be as quick as 1 hour. Tell your waiter what you would like, and they will do their best to make it happen.

Also, Adventure Ocean offers My Family Time Dining for kids. They will show up around 45 minutes after dinner starts and take the kids to AO.
