Just booked on Equinox - A few questions

So excited...Just booked a trip on the Equinox! I know it's so far in advance, but would appreciate any responses you may provide on the following:

1. Does this ship have the deck maps on each level or is a ship map available at the courtesy desk?

2. Are the NFL games shown somewhere else?..... I was disappointed to see that the ship had no sports bar.

3. I know "premium" water isn't available with promo Classic....How about bottles of "regular" water?

4. Is your dining table location on your sailcard or in your stateroom? Is the Maitre D available near the dining room before the ship sails to make possible changes?

Thanks so much!

Barbara

To answer...

1. Yes. There are maps near each elevator and you will get a ship map with your sea pass card.

2. NFL games are played if signals provide. Some playoff games are played in the cinema.

3. I believe bottled water is on beverage package.

4. Your table assignment will be on a card in the stateroom and there is a Maitre D by the entrance to the restaurant available.

We are on the month before you, I will try and remember to find your thread and let you know.

You can bring as many cases of bottled water, still in the plastic wrappers, to the port and stick a luggage tag on it, and it will be delivered to your room. Same with soft drinks. As much as you want.

If your cabin is an Aqua Class cabin, you will get at least two bottles free per day. I say at least, because last time we were in AQ we asked to have about 4 for each of us per day and it happened.

"Big" games (and that's of course a subjective opinion) are in the casino bar and often in the stateroom and even in the small theatre (Celebrity Central). 2-1/2 years ago we did a transatlantic cruise from England to Miami and it was during football season. Our team (LSU) was playing Alabama during the regular season and since it was the #1 and #2 teams they showed it. Now granted it was midnight to 4 a.m. but we had a little party anyway! We saw playoff games in the casino bar and they were showing them as well in Celebrity Central on a big screen (this was in January).

Hi Barbara, welcome to Celebrity:)...

None of Celebrity's ships have Sportsbars. The Casino has 3 screens

at their bar and some games are shown. Depending on when you

are sailing, the Playoffs and Superbowl are always shown.....and

they usually have a big set up for those games:) but during the

"regular season"? You need to check your daily and see what/if

games will be televised...always depends on the Satellite of course.

I have seen some NFL games but unless it is a playoff game or NCAA championship? I love football:D but I don't worry about missing

one weekend of it;)

Yes, the Maitr'd is set up outside of the dining room on sail day and

yes, you may check with him if you want to make changes.

You will receive a note card in your cabin about your table number.

No, it is not listed on your S&S card.

Hi Barbara:

Based on our experience in January:

1. Yes, by each elevator plus you get a map when you check-in at the terminal.

2. During many of the playoff games the place to be was the casino bar where there are several screens showing the game(s). For the "bigger" games, they were shown in Celebrity Central on Deck 4. The Daily will list all of this.

3. Yes, you can get regular water anywhere- bars, Cafe a Bacio, Bistro on Five- just by asking and showing your seapass. We were given the Geyser water brand (they gave us Evian when they ran out) and you get a full liter (around 23 oz). We would get 2 at a time and bring them to our cabin when our supply diminished. We are big water drinkers!

4. Bring your card down to the dining room during the day on embarkation day and ask the Maitre 'D to show you where your table is located. Any changes can be made then although you may be better off waiting until the 2nd night when the chaos dies down.

For some reason the Classic package entitles you to a quart size bottle of water. "Premium water" is the smaller size Evian or Poland Spring. I do not pretend to understand why half the amount of H2O is "premium," or why any thinking person would willingly pay more to get less. It's just water people.

This was not my experience. The only difference I had was Geyser v. Evian. Not size.
