jonbgd Posted March 29, 2014 #29 Share Posted March 29, 2014 I like it. Good Job Carnival Would prefer Spirit class for longer cruise but Triumph is OK I wonder if this is a test before they bring a 3rd Carnival ship to Galveston

jwalk03 Posted March 29, 2014 Author #31 Share Posted March 29, 2014 Feel like a fool but I can't get these pulled up when I search. Just select Triumph, and 10+ Days. These are the only 4 cruises that come up.
Aplmac Posted March 29, 2014 #32 Share Posted March 29, 2014 (edited) What's wrong with Martinique ? Because Martinique is a Department of Franceit has now become a Welfare State, just like France has! :) Because of this, local attitudes on the island are ..shall we say.. "less than helpful" in stores, etc. particularly if North Americans don't even try to speak the language of that country. Hope this helps you to understand why Martinique is the way Martinique is. . okgirl Posted March 29, 2014 #34 Share Posted March 29, 2014 The Triumph isn't my favorite ship but I'm still excited about these itineraries. Several of my cruising friends are planning to do just one leg from Galveston. Airfare is running $275 from San Juan to Tulsa and less than that from SJ to Houston. I priced an inside for the B2B and it came up around $1600 per person. The killer part is the deposit for 2 people for each cruise is $800. So to book a B2B for 2 would be $3200 with $1600 due upon booking for the deposit. If I book it next week we would have 16 months to get it paid off. Only $100 a month and that's certainly in our travel budget.
ianturner Posted March 29, 2014 #35 Share Posted March 29, 2014 Great ship, great crew. Sailed her 6 times last year & had a ball every time.
Velvetwater Posted March 29, 2014 #36 Share Posted March 29, 2014 (edited) Not a Bad ship, but to small for long cruises. Having sailed on a smaller spirit class ship for a 12 day I would disagree (unless you mean space ratio). The Legend was wonderful even on lots of colder sea days in Europe. These cruises look excellent...such a shame they are the wrong time of the year for us...ah well. Edited March 29, 2014 by Velvetwater

forwardcabin Posted March 29, 2014 #38 Share Posted March 29, 2014 (edited) How much of a deposit do you need? Do you think Carnival will offer these intenerays again? ...For two of us on the B2B, total deposit is $1600.00. We are seriously considering booking this cruise. Probably if this proves to be popular, they will offer it again. Edited March 29, 2014 by forwardcabin
