39august Posted April 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2014 The rate chart has disappeared from the initial Cruise Care page. Can anyone point me to that chart, please. I have searched the RCI website and can't find it. Or can someone post the break levels? Seems I remember that between $1001 and $1500 pp was $89 dollars. But I'm not sure of that cut off. I really would like to find a copy of that chart.
Love2cruise77 Posted April 11, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2014 (edited) This is what it used to be, not sure if they are planning to change the rate and thus remove it from the chart: Price of CruiseCruiseCare Cost $0 USD - $500 USD $29 USD $501 USD - $1,000 USD $59 USD $1,001 USD - $1,500 USD $89 USD $1,501 USD - $2,000 USD $119 USD $2,001 USD - $2,500 USD $159 USD $2,501 USD - $3,000 USD $199 USD $3,001 USD - $3,500 USD $259 USD $3,501 USD - $4,000 USD $299 USD $4,001 USD - $4,500 USD $339 USD $4,501 USD - $5,000 USD $379 USD $5,001 USD - $5,500 USD $419 USD $5,501 USD - $6,000 USD $459 USD $6,001 USD - $6,500 USD $539 USD $6,501 USD - $7,000 USD $569 USD $7,001 USD - $7,500 USD $599 USD $7,501 USD - $8,000 USD $639 USD $8,001 USD - $8,500 USD $679 USD $8,501 USD - $9,000 USD $709 USD $9,001 USD - $9,500 USD $749 USD $9,501 USD - $10,000 USD $789 USD $10,001 or Greater $799 USD Edited April 11, 2014 by Love2cruise77
39august Posted April 11, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted April 11, 2014 Thanx. I just booked a cruise for a total of $1513 pp and somehow our TA got the insurance for $89 pp.
PantherFan Posted April 11, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 11, 2014 (edited) the rates are based on the cabin price alone without taxes and port charges, so I would assume your $1513 pp price falls into the $1001-$1500 cabin rate range. Tucker in Texas Posted April 12, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 12, 2014 Just purchased insurance for a B2B -28 days cruise fare cost 15k - paid $610. I would shop rates , try insuremytrip.com you may find a better price. And better coverage. $25K for medi-vac isn't going to cover you in most cases. Also, door to door and, if you buy it within a couple of weeks of your deposit, the pre-existing is given a waiver. Tucker in Texas
39august Posted April 12, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted April 12, 2014 Thanks for the info about base price. The reason I buy Cruise Care is that it handles pre-exsisting conitions quite differently than most other carriers. There is no 14 day clause. If your medical condition is stable, no changes in medication or other treatments and you have been able to travel for 60 days (or more) prior to the date of purchase of the insurance, the pre-exsisting condition is covered.
