Crusing out of Miami/ Where is the best place to fly into

 Share

Recommended Posts

MIA is certainly closer and more convenient, but many do fly into FLL because of better flight options or cost of their airline ticket. There are many shuttle services that you can book to take you from FLL to the port. That being said, experienced cruisers always recommend that you fly-in at least one day early.

We have a cruise next Dec that leaves from Miami and decided to fly into MIA. My problem is that FLL can be a very bad place on Sat and Sun mornings with awful TSA lines. The last time we flew out of FLL on Sat (last Dec) the queue for TSA was over 1 1/2 hours! MIA is not a very good airport, but we have never had security lines that took more then 30 min.
