Booking onboard

Apologies if there is a thread about this other than one I found which doesn't quite answer my question, and I can't find anything on Oceania site.

We have seen a cruise we are interested in, and wonder

A) what benefits do we get if we book onboard

B) whether if we have it transferred to our TA we still pay her price rather than the online Oceania price which is a few hundred pounds dearer

The cruise is 4 months after we are onboard so full payment shouldn't be due?

I can't really answer as you are UK, but

transfer to your current travel agent is automatic unless you tell O otherwise.

Payment date depends on length of cruise- we have to pay for our westbound transatlantic on the day we get off Marina next month.

Cruises over 15 days the final payments are due 180 days out

If you are booking on the ship there is usually a 5% discount ...not sure how it works for UK passengers

Maybe someone from the UK who has booked onboard will comment

You can always compare the prices before booking

We were told by the on-board future cruise ambassador that there's no set percentage. You only find out when you actually choose a cruise. We were offered £65(each)discount for a £3300(each)14 day cruise.

The TA should give you her discount when the booking is passed to her by Oceania.
