Rare MicCanberra Posted July 24, 2014 #201 Share Posted July 24, 2014 You will love it! Sailing into NY remains one of my favourite memories. I am an early riser, and as such get to witness most of the ports I have ever sailed into from my Balcony. Sydney remains my favourite but their have been so many stunning ports, such as Auckland, Stockholm, Bora Bora, Ushuaia and port Stanley to name a few.:D
Kiwi_cruiser Posted July 25, 2014 #202 Share Posted July 25, 2014 (edited) As they now got 3 sea days before their next port, time for a bit of a catch up :) Edited July 25, 2014 by Kiwi_cruiser

I'm always up with the early smokers. :) It was a combination of many factors - up at 5 am in the dark not to miss a second of the slow sail in my first trip overseas the magnitude of my first BIG city (Brisbane's tallest building was the Town Hall) picking out familiar features, bridges and buildings excitement of meeting my NY pen friend and family for the first time. Still the magic of sailing into/out of NY still moves me more than other ports, even our own beautiful Sydney Harbour.

Will let you know what time aprox they should start it :) Thanks, I look forward to it. Lots of cams there I suppose. When we did the Panama canal we had a fine day, which is real bonus due to the amount of rainfall it gets, around 263 days a year.:D

Kiwi_cruiser Posted August 1, 2014 #224 Share Posted August 1, 2014 Dawn Princess should arrive at the start of the Panama Canal at 5am Panama time, which should be 10pm NZST, and 8:00pm Sydney & Brisbane AEST. Kiwi_cruiser Posted August 1, 2014 #225 Share Posted August 1, 2014 All of the Dawn Princess world cruise 2014 itinerary's that I could find said that the Dawn Princess would be in the Panama Canal tonight (1st Aug 2014) (and according to the Panama webcams, its the 1st of Aug there). If you look at the Dawn Princess webcam: http://www.princess.com/bridgecams/?shipCode=dp you can see that she is not there?!?!. I am confused?
