I would definitely do Alaska! Princess is my favorite for Alaska, especially the Coral Princess. To see the most in a week, I would suggest doing either a Northbound or Southbound Voyage of the Glaciers. Princess is having great deals for Alaska!

I actually saw on NCL today a northbound cruise on the NCL Sun leaving August 4th for only $299 a person! Can't beat that deal!

Think about a trans-Atlantic - starting in a city ( or area) where you'd like to spend some time - either Northern Europe or Mediterranean - so you have an in depth visit for several days, then cruise back to US - with several stops en route. There are dozens of reasonably priced re-positionings from September through December, when Europe is less crowded and the sailing weather is great.

As has been posted, it is a wonderful large world and if you want to stick with cruising you have all 7 Continents and an awful lot of islands in nearly every sea from which to choose. We have gotten to 6 continents (and been in about 100 countries) but still have more to see. A major consideration for most folks is the time of year. And then there is your budget and how many days, weeks or even months you can spare for a trip. Alaska is fine for shorter cruises, but if you can spare a couple of weeks it opens up nearly all of Europe, Panama Canal, Asia, etc. We particularly love Europe (and especially the Med) which has so many possibilities. Noticed that somebody mentioned the Panama Canal (we have been through it twice and also did a partial twice) but we are less impressed with the Canal then most. Somebody once described it as a "Big Ditch" and we agree. Also have little love for the most of the ports on the typical Canal cruise. When it comes to Canals we actually enjoyed the smaller Kiel Canal, but this is only an option on smaller ships.

Antarctica.

Antarctica is spectacular and lacks a lot of what makes other places loathsome for me - hot weather, large crowds, commercialism.

However, travel to Antarctica requires some extensive planning so it might not be doable in a month.

South Africa is equally wonderful, too.

Unclear whether you've sailed to Hawaii from the mainland or just the NCL Pride of American around the isles.

If you like sea days, consider either a cruise from the west coast to Hawaii and back (with about 5 days among the isles) or a transatlantic (e.g., Cunard QM2)

Small ship, less than 100 passengers, down through the Drake Passage to Antarctica. It really doesn't take extensive planning -- just a bit of research to decide who you want to go. The mass market lines don't really go deep into Antarctica.
