What are the decent sit-down restaurants nearby to the Radisson at the Port in Cape Canaveral? We'll be there for all 3 meals/day, so please advise either where to go, or where to avoid! :p

Thanks, Capt!

Do the hotels typically offer any shuttles, or do we need to grab a cab (for how much $$)?

A cab to Fishlips/Rustys/Grills will cost you about $10.

Kelseys is right next door to the hotel. Zacharys Family Restsurant is next door on the opposite side of the hotel....its not fancy but good place for a resonably priced meal, especially breakfast. There is also a McDonalds right across the street.

Enjoy your cruise!!!!

Are there any hotels closer and on the beach?

the 3 shown are closest to the piers

on the beach will be farther away

few properties here are "on the beach" as that land is condos or private homes ... so most properties "on the beach" will be set back a bit, with beach ACCESS

One exception is International Palms (formerly the Cocoa Beach Holiday Inn) ... this IS on the beach with a beach bar etc etc. A bit farther away tho .... 5.5 miles south on A1A

We are sailing on Black Friday, looking for dinner options on Thanksgiving. I expect the hotel (Radisson) restaurant might be our only option, but had to ask.

Looks like we are going on the same cruise, and I had the same question. From what I can tell, it looks like Fishlips was open last Thanksgiving. In addition, it looks like Gregory's Steak/Seafood (about 2-3 miles South down A1A) from Fishlips was open last year on Thanksgiving as well.

Lots of places open for Thanksgiving last year. We went to lobster place in South cocoa beach. I'm sure Cove will be hopping. Try Milikens

going to port canveral sept 19 and looking for a place to eat dinner that is away from the port area....I have been to fishlips twice and that place gets way to crowded and wanted a place kinda away from all the crowds...Thought about Coconuts on the beach? any comments on that or other suggestions?

Ok, not being the one to sound cheap, but we also did 3 meals each time we stayed at the Raddison, and we stayed there for 3 different cruises.

Ok our breakfast choices.....

Raddison buffet...........good meal but $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

McDonalds across the street, had it our way:D ...$

Small little restuarant to the right of the Raddison when you face it nice sit down meal................kinda like a greasy spoon, hard to ruin breakfast.....$$.

Lunch.

Sit down at Raddison.....sandwiches, fries and soft drinks...$$$$$$$$

Pizza delivery at pool AWESOME!!!!!.....$$

Itailen restuarant within walking distance......$$$

Dinner

Always took a cab to Fishlips.

Yup crowded.

But, water front view, band, good food.

Not too pricey.

Enjoyable.

Enjoy your cruise

We love this port.

that would be Kelsey's ... been around since 1983 so they must do something right http://kelseyscanaveral.com/

as far as FISHLIPS .... well, I've said it many times b4 ... I live in the area and eat at the port places often and my first choice has been Grills for some time now . . . last year had reason to have some Fishlips chow to entertain a visitor who REALLY wanted to go there and was reminded why I prefer GRILLS. None of the places in the port is fine dining, but my preferred place is GRILLS.
