Grand Princess Review - Window Suite with pictures

Your detailed review was great! It was a good reminder of the (very short) time I was on the Grand last month, also in a window suite. That room type is definitely one of Princess' best values. I'm glad you enjoyed your cruise.

We did this cruise last Sept and had the WS F311. We loved it so much we booked the same for our Hawaii cruise Oct 2015. We used to book the mini and loved the balcony but with the WS we would just go up one deck to promenade at sit. Pictures took me back - now can't wait till next Oct.

And our steward always brought the next day menus

Thank you for your review and pictures. The suite looks lovely. The only thing I noticed that seemed off was that the TV seems to be on the side wall as opposed to in front of the beds. While I don't watch much TV while cruising that might bother me??

It is on an arm and can be tilted toward the bed easily. We spent about a month on the Grand in that suite - this thread brings lots of smiles to our faces!

Like ggprincess said, the TV is on a swivel arm mount. It can be moved to face the bed or the couch.

About the casino smoke...even though the door to the hallway near our suite was always open, we never had any smoke smell in the suite. Occasionally when you stepped out of the cabin you could smell it a little from the casino, but it was very, very minor. If it's a big concern, book one of the suites closer to the Piazza entrance (near the passenger services desk). That door was always closed, except when we used it to come and go, and no smell at all on that side of the hallway.

Thanks for the great review :) I will be on the Grand in 38 days :) Did you go to any of the shows? I'm very interested in learning what kinds of entertainment I can expect :)

This was probably our first cruise that we didn't go to any shows. We did listen to the classical quartet in the evenings a few times and a few nights we were in the Piazza and the ship band was playing Dixieland Jazz...and it was great! I am not a jazz fan, but when they started playing, you couldn't help tapping your toes and getting into the music.

Thanks for your review and the window suite pictures. We have one booked on the Golden in January. I think it's probably similar to the window suites on the Grand. We are looking forward to it...it's our first time in a suite!

Grand Princess Alaska cruise May 25th-June 1st

Round trip from Seattle

Thanks for this review.

My wife and I just upgraded our cruise to F303 for May 16th south to BC. We have one question if you have a minute. We noticed the room is right next to the Casino and Theater.

Is there a noise issue?

Thanks!!!

43 Days Out and counting
