Pacific weather

Cruising from LA to Hawaii this Fall.I know ocean temperatures in the central Pacific are cooler than the Caribbean,but how cool?Wondering what to expect on deck by the pools.

Pool/deck temps will be dependant on air temps. If it's 80+ (f) air temps, the pool will warm quickly...and you will appreciate a slightly cooler pool temp, as the sun will make the deck uncomfortably warm!

 

The Pacific Ocean is always MUCH, MUCH cooler than the Caribbean sea. Always. Unless you are in the South Pacific, you'll need a wetsuit in the ocean. The pool will be fine.

It will likely be cool and windy the first day to day and 1/2 and the last day to day and 1/2 and as you get closer to Hawaii the weather gets warmer.

It makes sense that as you go south, the weather gets warmer.

I would plan that your first 2 days out of LA and the last 2 returning will be cool, windy and a bit rough.

Never needed a wetsuit in Hawaii for snorkeling. Off of California is another story.
