Rare talkorpi Posted June 20, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 20, 2014 After having sparked some speculation in my Corpus Christi thread, why not. If Carnival go to choose one new port to do cruises out of, what would you want it to be?

Sparky2 Posted June 20, 2014 #3 Share Posted June 20, 2014 (edited) After having sparked some speculation in my Corpus Christi thread, why not. If Carnival go to choose one new port to do cruises out of, what would you want it to be? The title of this thread should have been - What new homeport would you like to see added. I thought this thread was about which new port would you like to sail to. Edited June 20, 2014 by Sparky2

MzOhioLady Posted June 20, 2014 #5 Share Posted June 20, 2014 My choice is not listed. I would love to have Cleveland as a port to sail from. I could be there in 25 minutes!! It might be a little too cold to sail from during the winter months though. :(
billymatt Posted June 20, 2014 #6 Share Posted June 20, 2014 I was truly hoping for St. Louis to be a viable option. I'd go cruising an awful lot more if the port was 15 minutes from home! :D
Cruising Golfer Posted June 20, 2014 #7 Share Posted June 20, 2014 We could cure unemployment by digging a canal from L.A. to Las Vegas!!! I would cruise every 6 months then!!!:D

loubetti Posted June 20, 2014 #9 Share Posted June 20, 2014 It's already been discussed somewhere at this forum, but Savannah will likely never be a cruise port, just cargo and such. Forget Savannah, the powers that be there do no not want such, so stick with viable options. :)

MCC retired Posted June 20, 2014 #11 Share Posted June 20, 2014 I believe CCL has tried or considered every logical Homeport option in the US. As far as ports to visit , there are Caribbean ports that are bypassed when others are too frequently visited ( tired of St Thomas, St Maarten, Cozumel , and especially Grand Cayman). Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app I think you are correct, they have tried most if not all US ports. One of the things I would love to see is to expand to some place outside of the US, like maybe South America. This would dynamically expand their ports of call. Kind of like what they did in Australia, but different. :)

I second that vote, but we would probably have to tender to St Louis :D Tulsa, OK does have a seaport. I would be happy if it was that close.
