What a lovely problem to have :-) I don't have experience having extra OBC at the end so unfortunately can't guide you, but I'd think they'd use your non-refundable OBC first.

Being on the ship on Rome day is fabulous because so few people are

onboard.

I had a shellac manicure onboard last year and loved it. Verify with them, but the girl guaranteed her work to last 14 days and let me have it touched up for free when some chipped after less than a week. I believe I saw that they'll remove your existing but can't remember for sure or how much it costs.

We tipped our remaining Euros and the balance in U.S. dollars. It's hard to know which they'd prefer, but we considered which countries they were from to try to gauge which would be better.

Have fun!

I would think that the 15% is standard ship wide. I like it that way, makes things easy.

Some don't realize that on some items the 15% is already included and then they see a line on the check for added gratuity. Its confusing for some. :(

I have some more questions!

I requested gluten free vegetarian food and in the notes section I wrote that I need to limit my gluten. In reality I should eliminate it, but that's for another day.

The problem is that I really like food and I really enjoy a lot of the Princess dishes and I know I'll probably cave and get the fettuccine Alfredo at one point. I try to eat well during the day so I can sit down in the evening and enjoy a nice meal.

Does it matter that I made a special request? Can I just pretend I didn't and order what I want or will they know? Can I maybe get the GF food some days if I like the look of it and not others?

First off, no matter what you did in advance you need to speak with the headwaiter in your dining room to discuss your dietary needs.

That said, you are able to order whatever you wish even if it is not in line with your special request.

Regarding what is available in the Lotus Spa/Salon . . .

It appears that they offer full range of nail servivces. Acrylic - Yes. Gel - Don't know for sure, but would suspect they do.

They also offer treatments you probably can't even imagine and will be glad to assist you in disposing of that pesky OBC. :D

Thanks for the info on speaking with the head waiter, I was unaware of this.

I'm thinking I may not have any issues spending most of the money, I do like to be economical usually but it's a vacation and it was a gift so I might as well enjoy.

I tried the casino on my last cruise, my fist time in a casino and I didn't care for it. I had money on a card, used it on the machine thing and it ran out after 2 uses. Turns out the person before had it set somehow to be for than 5¢ each go. So, not my thing at all, maybe if I had a clue what I was doing but I clearly don't.

I'm thinking of one way that no one has mentioned, unless I read through the posts so fast that I missed it.

Have funds drawn from your onboard credit to your cruise card to use in the casino, BUT, instead of playing the machine cash your cruise card out at the cashier's booth inside the casino.

That has been mentioned often on Cruise Critic.

However, there is a daily $$ limit and after the first time you do this without playing the slots, you might not be allowed to do it again the rest of the cruise.

From what the OP said in their previous post I'm betting () once is all that they will need.......

It had not been mention in this thread. Thanks, Caribill.
