Just Back From the Pearl II

Food reviews from our group varied. Everyone liked Cagney's but even then two steaks were either under or over cooked. Moderno was a hit with our group except for the over cooked lamb chops. La Cucina was a complete disaster. No one liked the food. the service was pleasant, but the food was salty, the pasta overcooked. The best thing about it was the bread. Since it was my night with the grandchildren, I was not a happy camper. The group loved the Sushi Bar and had lunch there often.

Service in the MDR Summer Palace was slow but we were a group of fifteen and it was the end of the evening, so it was to be expected. Food wasn't great. Our group preferred Indigo for both food and atmosphere. We liked the Outdoor Cafe for breakfast except when it was very cold.

Star Bar and Bar city were favorite gathering places. Sky bar also had its adherents!

Entertainment was very good. Second City was great. Jazz pianist Peter James was outstanding. The comedian Jim was terrific and the other cocktail lounge pianist were also entertaining.

Liked the trivia activities and our group met in various numbers throughout the cruise.

While I loved the Pearl staff, I don't think I am cut out for cruising. Have to see if I am tempted by great itineraries and prices.

Seems like you had a good time, why do you think you aren't cut out for cruising?

Do you remember who your Senior Bridge Officers and Hotel Officers were?

What is it with people asking this question? what significance does this have on a cruise that has been completed?
